What is a shoe sole cleaner?
A shoe sole cleaner (also called a shoes bottom cleaning machine or boots bottom washer) is a walk-through entrance hygiene device that removes dirt, mud and grit from shoe soles as you simply walk through it — you never need to remove your shoes or stop walking. SSC has engineered these machines since 2002. The Ultra-thin automatic model is only 20 mm thick and sits 2 mm above the finished floor; the Basic Ultra-thin model is 25 mm thick. How does a shoe sole cleaner work?
The core mechanism is SSC's patented counter-rotating brush belts: spring-loaded nylon brush belts run in opposite directions under your soles, washing the bottom of the shoes efficiently and safely as you walk. On automatic models, water circulates inside the machine — internal water and wastewater areas are delimited by a special structure that gives the unit strong self-cleansing and continuous cleaning capability. A water level controller automatically closes the inlet valve, and a small sewage pump discharges wastewater on demand. PVA strong water absorption material in a very thin tray drains traces of water. The Automatic (upgrade) version is 20 cm thick and adds a special water spring system; the Automatic Ultra-thin version is only 20 mm thick and embedded in a slotted ground, rising just 2 mm above the floor. The Basic (non-automatic) versions use no electricity at all — you walk on the device and move your shoes to rub on the brush 2–4 times, with recycled water available as an option.
